4 Day Deep Dive Abstract Art Workshop
Jan 15 to 18 and Mar 4 to 7, 2024
Join us for a fun 4 day deep dive into abstract art and exploring your creative intuitive power!
There are two 4 Day Deep Dive workshops offered in 2024. January 15 to 18th and March 4 to 7.
Some basic experience necessary, doing the 1 day workshop will help you get your feet wet and give you the ability to dive deeper in this class.
All skill levels welcome.
- Every day you will be given a design or painting technique to explore.
- Talks and demonstrations will be given on: value, colour mixing, composition and focal point.
- You will paint multiple pieces ranging from 5″ x 7″ to 16″ x 20″
- You will paint on paper, wooden panels and canvas.
- You will always be encouraged to go at your own pace. Relax, play and have fun. This is when you are most creative.
- You will be shown how to stretch canvas onto a wooden frame.
- You will learn the pros and cons to varnishing your paintings in acrylic and oil.
- Studio Casa Perla is a safe fun environment with 8 students per class where you can share, laugh and learn.
- Lots of 1 on 1 guidance and instruction provided.
- You will work with both student quality and professional quality Nova Color paint.
- A healthy vegetarian lunch will be served every day. Along with coffee, chai tea and small breakfast treats. You are also welcome to bring your own favourite snacks and drinks. A refrigerator is available for you to store items.
4 Day Deep Dive with lunch $9,000 MXN pesos
- 9000 MXN Pesos can be given in person or pesos bank transfer.

Abstract Art? I could do that! Or so I thought! in taking Nancy’s abstract art deep dive class, I learned so much about what I didn’t know: color theory, layering and texture techniques, brush and other tool implementations, paint blending, composition and many other components of abstract art.
